A recent study led by astronomers at Yale University has revealed that the supermassive black hole RBH-1, with a mass exceeding ten million Suns, has been ejected from its home galaxy.
This black hole is traveling at an astonishing speed of nearly 1,000 kilometres per second, creating a significant wake as it moves through space.
The wake, which spans an impressive 200,000 light-years, consists of a thin streak of gas and young stars, showcasing the dynamic interactions between black holes and their environments.
